The Ninja Gaiden II Mega-Hype Thread (56k) | NEW: The Weapons of Ninja Gaiden II

I have a great idea for the advertising campaign. Get Wu Tang on it! Chop his head off kid! RZA beats and gameplay montage. Then again...maybe that's all played out. :cry:

It amazes me how many older gamers still remember Ninja Gaiden from playing it on NES. Hopefully they can tap that market with this sequel and MS publishing/pushing it.

Games looks gret btw. Can't wait to try it out. Hopefully there will be a 360 price drop over the summer. I'll still get to it though.

Thanks for the heads up.

I've had enough money for a Wii and some games, but I just didn't want one. This will hopefully be a deciding factor. I should really spend the money on some new funiture or maybe o...rent, but owell lol

Mods have to be "neutral"...or at refrain from saying certain things b/c they have to at least appear to be neutral. Also, they put up with a ton of crap from posters, even though they're volunteering their own time to help the community.

anyone knows if they`ll be a way to turn off the health regeneration thing? i want a challange....kind of like in the orginal :(Dante2710

Its not going to be any easier. It wont fully regenerate, the maximum health regeneration gows down as you take dammage so you will still have to use elixers. Team Ninja did that because sometimes you were forced to stockpile elixers in the first game which killed the pacing. Only thing I didnt like about the fist game was when you got through a though fight but had no health left and lon elixers and you die before youget to a save point. Didnt happen often but it was still annoying.

Dude, there's 4 difficulty levels, and you just gotta know that the highest one is gonna kick your ass.

From the videos you can see two bars. The blue health bar that shortens to the left as you take dammage and a red bar that extends from the right and slowly fills of the health meter which represents the amount of health that wont regenerate. Im sure it will fill up faster and the minimum health will be smaller as you increase the difficulty. Its not like Halo 3 where you have 100% health after every fight.

Enemies do enough damage with the thing on.

If I take it off I'll probably get killed within seconds.

The regeneration is between fights not during them so it should still be pretty difficult. Also potions are supposed to be scarce so do you really think you can beat that giant monster with 2 health potions?

Ninja Gaiden 2 is the sequel to one of the most critically accalimed games of last gen. And the same game was released 3 times! remade once on PS3. It's just so good it gets good scores every itteration..even a generation later. So basically Ninja Gaiden 2 is going to be the first new NG game since 2004!

I dont think thats possible since NG2 is being published by MS. If Team Ninja makes another NG game for PS3 it would have to be completely different from NG2. But being a big NG fan, I wouldn't mind if each console had its own exclusive NG series. The more NG games the better. I dought that would happen though.

Cool, thanks. There's seems to be a lot negative comments about her on that board. And some clalling her a "female Dante", lol. I like her concept art at 1up. I hope she's a fun character to play as.
